I was just at the post office mailing something and stopped at the nearby starbucks - I usually buy regular coffees or whole beans to grind at home, but they have a rewards program where I’d had enough for a free coffee.
A large caramel macciato (which I don’t feel guilty about despite being over 300 kcal since I’ve barely eaten anything since the wisdom tooth surgery) is over 6 Canuckistan rubles. It’s a tasty coffee but I’ll be damned if I ever pay regular price for this stuff. At least their regular brewed coffee is a reasonable price.
On a side note - my jaw hurts so much it’s also giving me a headache. Tramadol doesn’t work as well as I’d hoped, but I certainly don’t want anything too strong when it comes to opiates.

Meh, Starbucks is fine by me. Sure, it is on the expensive side. But I’ve wasted far more money on far more useless stuff over the years.

I don’t like coffee, and their tea is just okay. But, they have those sandwiches. Not bad for a quick bite for me while the wife gets her coffee fix.

This is the proper take

Starbucks food is hit or miss for me - simple baked goods are OK, but I do really miss the truly heavenly croissants you get in France:
Whether you tried to pull it apart with your fingers or bite into it, it would explode into tons of little flaky, buttery pastry bits. Beside it was a little hazelnut chocolate cake-ish thing.
With places like this in France I’m surprised that Starbucks finds any success there.

Starbucks is a terrible place to go for coffee. Now, if you like those overpriced, over-engineered foofy coffee drinks, they’re just fine. But, to be honest, if I’m looking for a simple cup of coffee, I’ll go to McDonald’s or Dunkin Donuts.

I think they’re just fine for regular coffee. McDonald’s is probably the best ratio of price/taste for regular brewed coffee. Heck, I think right now they have a $1 deal going on for any size brewed coffee, and it doesn’t get any better than that.

Fun fact: If you buy any beverage and stay in the store, you can request free refills of tall hot/iced coffee or tea with your rewards card. Theoretically, your drink could pay for itself.

Starbucks is overpriced hippie BS
If you want an alternative to Tim Hortons go to McD’s. Personally I don’t want anything to do with McD’s either, plus between Dark Roast/French Vanilla Tims is fine

Every time I get a cup of coffee at Dunkin it’s terrible. McDonald’s is usually decent and mostly consistent (and cheap).

I am hooked on the Nitro Cold Brew at Starbucks. It is so tasty and doesn’t give me heartburn.
It’s breathtaking, really. I suggest you try it.

McD’s coffee is my go-to on the way to work because it’s so cheap and tastes fine.

I love calling them Canuckistani Rubles.
Starbucks is overpriced, but it’s convenient and consistent. I almost never drink coffee and they have options outside of it, so that’s what I do. Their food options are notably good.
Although I wouldn’t go to Timmy’s for coffee, I would for Tim Bits.

That’s their killer product for me. I wish they were cheaper.

Coffee? What about a morning Monster? How did you know I drive a G35?

Hah, in my younger days it wouldn’t be odd to have a morning Red Bull. I never really liked Monster that much.
